seeing seasons first snowflakes
unleashes toothless grin





long winters night
gazing into hearth flames, faces
of friends gone ahead





small snowflakes
dance around the streetlamp
then disappear in darkness





first snow
still clinging to the gravestone
cicada husk





wrinkled hand shaking
composing winter haiku
ink  all over the floor
